Reviews Policy

StoryNative.uk, operated by Strait Line Media Ltd. (Gibraltar company number 129570), publishes reviews that reflect the honest judgement of the assigned reviewer and the editorial team. Editor-in-Chief Vanessa Cole and Standards & Fact‑Checking Lead Patrick Nolan are responsible for ensuring all reviews meet our editorial standards and remain independent from commercial influence. Reviews are clearly separated from advertising and sponsored content, and no access or payment can guarantee a positive outcome.

Who is responsible for our reviews?

Editor-in-Chief Vanessa Cole sets editorial policy for all reviews and oversees publication decisions, source review, and content quality. Day‑to‑day review assignments are managed by Managing Editor Adam Pryor, while Patrick Nolan, Standards & Fact‑Checking Lead, verifies sources, checks attributions, and ensures that each review complies with our Editorial Policy and celebrity‑privacy standards. The full editorial team is listed on our Our Team page.

What do our reviews cover and how are they produced?

Reviews may be based on press screenings, advance streams, review copies provided by distributors or publicists, public theatrical or streaming releases, and occasional press access to events or interviews. Coverage spans film, television, streaming series, music releases, live performances, and entertainment‑industry products. Review access never guarantees a favourable review, and our editorial conclusions are reached independently. Every review carries a standard disclosure noting how the reviewer accessed the work (e.g., “screener provided by the distributor” or “watched at a public screening”). If a review contains affiliate links, that is separately disclosed under our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.

How do we ensure independence from commercial interests?

StoryNative.uk is funded through display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing. All sponsored or commercially‑arranged material is clearly labelled as such and follows our Sponsored Content Policy. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions; reviewers and editors are prohibited from accepting payment, gifts, or favours in exchange for coverage. Any reviewer with a personal or financial connection to a subject must recuse themselves, and that recusal is noted in the review if relevant.

How can you submit review enquiries?

Publishers, publicists, and distributors seeking to submit works for review consideration should contact the newsdesk at press@storynative.uk. General enquiries can be directed to info@storynative.uk. We acknowledge receipt of submissions within five working days but cannot guarantee a review or a timeline. Press access requests for events, screenings, or interviews are handled by the same address.

How do we handle corrections or complaints about reviews?

If a review contains a factual error, a correction request should be sent to corrections@storynative.uk with the subject line “Review Correction”. Our Corrections Policy and Complaints Procedure detail the process. Patrick Nolan reviews all correction requests and works with the original reviewer and the Editor‑in‑Chief to ensure accuracy. Substantive changes are appended with a correction notice.

Our commitments

  • Every review reflects the honest, independent judgement of the reviewer and the editorial team, free from commercial or personal bias.

  • No payment, sponsorship, or access arrangement can influence the tone, score, or publication timing of a review.
  • Factual errors in reviews are corrected promptly and transparently in accordance with our published corrections policy.
  • We maintain a clear separation between editorial reviews and any advertising, affiliate, or sponsored content on the publication.
