Ownership & Funding

StoryNative.uk is owned and operated by Strait Line Media Ltd., a private company limited by shares registered in Gibraltar. This page explains our ownership structure, funding model, and the safeguards that keep editorial coverage independent of commercial interests. Readers seeking further detail are directed to our Editorial Policy and team page.

Who owns StoryNative.uk?

StoryNative.uk is wholly owned by Strait Line Media Ltd. (company number 129570), a private company limited by shares registered in Gibraltar, with its registered office at Suite 8, Leanse Place, 50 Town Range, Gibraltar GX11 1AA.

There are no external editorial shareholders. All equity is held within Strait Line Media Ltd., and no outside investor, political body, or interest group has any influence over editorial decisions. The publication’s Editor-in-Chief, Vanessa Cole, holds ultimate accountability for content and standards. Day-to-day editorial governance is exercised by the senior team listed on our Our Team page.

How is StoryNative.uk funded?

StoryNative.uk is funded through display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing. All commercial material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial content.

Display advertising is sold direct and through programmatic networks. Affiliate links, which may earn us a commission on purchases, are disclosed in accordance with our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure. Sponsored content and commercial partnerships are governed by our Sponsored Content Policy. Newsletter sponsorships are identified in each edition. Content licensing revenues come from third‑party platforms that republish our work under formal agreements. No funding source dictates editorial direction or story selection.

How does the publication guarantee editorial independence?

Advertisers, sponsors, and commercial partners have no control over editorial coverage. Editorial independence is guaranteed by our governance structure, with Editor-in-Chief Vanessa Cole holding ultimate accountability and reporting to no external commercial stakeholder.

All editorial decisions — including story selection, headline approval, source review, and corrections — are made solely by the editorial team. Commercial relationships are firewalled from newsroom operations. Our Editorial Policy sets out the principles that prevent conflicts of interest. Any sponsored or commercial material is physically separated from independent content and clearly labelled. Fact‑checking, source verification, and privacy review are carried out by the Standards & Fact‑Checking team led by Patrick Nolan, independent of commercial pressures.

Who can I contact about advertising or partnership opportunities?

All commercial proposals are reviewed by the business team and, where relevant, referred to editorial for compliance with our disclosure policies. We do not accept sponsored content that misleads readers or that violates our editorial standards. Enquiries regarding content licensing, affiliate programmes, and newsletter sponsorship should be directed to the same addresses.
